The 2000s had many iconic (as well as obscure) movies released in that decade, from Mean Girls to Superbad to The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl and lots more.
Many of these films were released directly to theaters, such as the examples mentioned above. However, some were released straight to video and/or DVD or were made for television specials instead (particularly so for some children's movies).
