Miscellaneous

As you might know, lots of 20th century technology (such as VHS tapes, CDs, and even DVDs for that matter) crossed over into the new millennium. This was the day and age where lots of electronics came in silver, the PS2, the original Xbox, and the Game Boy Advance (and later, the PS3, Nintendo DS, and Xbox 360) were on everyone's wishlists, the last era of the cathode ray tube along with the last era of VHS tapes, cellphones were the hottest thing you could possibly own (bonus points if it was a hot pink Razr or if you were really cool, a T-Mobile Sidekick/Danger Hiptop) and so much more.

Important things to know (for those in the US): Analog television in the United States was shut down on Friday, 6/12/2009. In addition, 2G and 3G networks have also been unfortunately shut down by all carriers over the last few years (Verizon was the last to discontinue 3G in December 2022 and T-Mobile officially discontinued their 2G network in August 2026), which means most, if not all, older cellphones and PDAs from the 2000s don't work anymore. :(

International viewers: Analog television and/or 2G and 3G networks may still be available in some other countries, though as far as I'm aware, many countries such as Canada have also shut these down or have plans to do so very soon.
