Welcome to Life in the 2000s, a website I've created based on my lifestyle and knowledge of the 2000s decade (2000 - 2009). This is the perfect website to visit if you want to live your life as if it were still the 2000s, whether it's out of plain curiosity, personal preference, nostalgia, an absolute disdain for the stupid modern world, or any other reason(s). I will link some useful websites on this website and give detailed information and instructions on how to live like it's still the 1st decade of the new millennium. I will also make sure that all information provided is as accurate as possible. This may very well be the closest any of us get to owning a time machine back into the past.
Now of course, I do adknowledge the fact that not everything was all sunchine and roses in the 2000s (9/11, SARS, 2008 global recession, 2009 swine flu pandemic, etc), but to be fair, no decade is perfect (and can you really say that the 2020s have been any better?). However, I, like many others, would be willing to make a few personal sacrifices if granted a time machine to take us back to the decade in which we feel the most at home in.
Maybe I'm just an old soul in a teenager's body, but I genuinely despise the modern world with every particle of my being and would kill to travel back to the decade I was born in so that I could experience what I missed out on from the 2000s (Warped Tour, My Chemical Romance performing live on SNL, T-Mobile Sidekicks and Motorola Razr V3s, and a lot more). I also can't stand to watch the world burn in front of my very eyes with all of the stupid modern things going on in the world right now, especially when it comes to modern technology ruining people's lives and acting as digital crack.
And for me personally, I find that my lifestyle is what allows me to truly express myself and to live my life to the fullest. Hell, I find it quite therapuetic. I should also mention that I've had a special interest about the 2000s throughout most of my life (as well as the 90s, to a lesser extent).
I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who feels this way and I've decided to create this website to help out others who find themselves in a similar position, particularly if they still have a lot to learn about the 2000s. And even for those who were lucky enough to have been older than 3 years old on New Year's Eve 2009, I'm hoping this website can at the very least provide you with the nostalgia you need.
And don't forget, rawr means I love you in dinosaur. <3
